New
look addresses maturing category, greater sales potential
Vancouver, BC – March 20, 2002 – SoyaWorld Inc, Canada’s
leading soymilk manufacturer, is launching a new packaging design for
it’s So Nice Soyganic line of organic soy beverages, strengthening
consumer awareness and creating added value for retailers. The new
packaging will be available nationwide in fresh gable top cartons in May
2002.
Each of the So Nice Soyganic flavours has a fresh distinctive packaging
design with a bold splash of colour that consumers will notice. The
packages are unified with a wave, creating a ripple effect when all five
flavours are displayed on the shelf, creating a strong shelf presence.
“The bold and colourful packaging helps the So Nice Soyganic family of
soy beverages stand out on the shelves,” says Maheb Nathoo, CEO of
SoyaWorld. “The attractive new design has definite visual impact, and is
part of our strategy to attract consumers to the category and offer
greater sales potential for retailers.”
The move to enhance the packaging of So Nice Soyganic will assist
retailers in meeting the needs of this maturing category. The Canadian
soymilk category is seeing double-digit growth, with 28 million litres
consumed and nearly $60 million in sales in 2001, according to market
research firm ACNielsen.
The launch of new packaging for all So Nice Soyganic fresh flavours,
including natural, original, vanilla, chocolate and mocha will be
supported by an integrated marketing program. New packaging for UHT
cartons will follow later this year.
So Nice Soyganic is Canada’s number one organic soymilk and continues to
drive category growth and profitability, with an increase in sales of
more than 80% in 2001.
